Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God’s claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God’s service in the world.
We have a traditional worship service every Sunday at 11:00 AM. During worship we gather, sing, pray, read Holy scriptures, hear the Word proclaimed and affirm our faith as we respond to God’s Word.
When have special services:
Ash Wednesday, at a prayer service we also have the impassion of ashes on our foreheads in the shape of the cross.
During Lent, a time of preparation for Easter, we have Wednesday night services and take Holy Communion.
During Holy week we have a Maundy Thursday Service, Thursday prior to Easter, which is combined with Tenebrae (service of darkness).
Good Friday, Friday Before Easter, we participate with Eufaula Georgetown Area Ministerial Association for a Noon service. And on Holy Saturday we we participate in a prayer vigil from Sunrise to Sunset.
